S4s Case Study

The Story

S4S Technologies is a food and beverages manufacturing company working in the Agritech sector. They employ a business strategy that involves female entrepreneurs operating solar-powered food dehydration devices. They collaborate with more than 20,000 farmers and 800 women business owners, preventing up to 300,000 tonnes of CO2 from entering the atmosphere.

Their investors referred them to Talhive to fill in urgent leadership management to head various departments within the organisation in Aurangabad & Pune.

The Problem

S4S needed to expand its tech crew immediately. While collaborating with numerous recruitment firms, they encountered the following difficulties:

Speed vs Talent

Over 10 department heads and executives were required to immediately join the S4S team from Aurangabad, where the desired talent pool is limited.

Candidate Communication

Due to the lack of quality profiles within the geographical region, the candidate’s communication has been below average and unsuitable for the hiring team.

Limited HR bandwidth

S4S was having difficulties attracting candidates to the local area and needed the services of a recruitment agency that could become a part of their HR department and manage the entire process.

The Solution

Talhive worked on a 6month retainer with S4S to facilitate hiring and talent management across locations. Our Marketing & Revenue service specialised recruiters took on the project to deliver and scale for S4S.

To position the brand and attract the right talent, Talhive worked closely with the S4S Co-founders to clearly define the requirements and developed JDs for each role

Used non-traditional sources, PPC and social media marketing, to get the right talent and broaden the location’s talent pool.

Built a strong connection with the hiring team, acquainted them with our process-oriented work and introduced weekly regular strategic reviews to cement best practice

Streamlined recruitment process to keep candidates fully engaged at all stages, including the HQ visit and introductory conversation with the founders.

The Outcome

Successfully closed 12 mid-senior leadership roles for production, sales, finance, accounts and HR.

Talhive is now the exclusive hiring partner for S4S and is perceived as the one that consistently sources hard-to-find skills for many of its hiring projects.

The streamlined process and increased engagement with Talhive have also improved critical internal metrics such as CV feedback TAT and Screen to interview ratio.
